Most FamBed products are made to order. Please note that we charge you for your order before starting production. Production of custom-sized products only begins once you have confirmed your order in the email you receive after your purchase.

You can pay on fambed.dk without any payment fees using Visa, Visa Electron, MasterCard and other available payment methods. See the payment options at checkout.

The payment details you enter when purchasing products are encrypted using SSL and sent to our payment processor, Stripe or Clearhaus, depending on the payment method. Only you and the payment processor have access to this information.

At FAMBED®, we sell products in custom sizes and make your order to order. We charge you when production begins, and the right to return does not apply to custom-made products such as family beds, sheets, bed skirts and mattress toppers. However, our family beds come with a 60-night sleep guarantee. Find out more in the section "60-night sleep guarantee for family beds".

When you use a "buy now, pay later" solution from Anyday or Klarna, you enter into an agreement with the provider. FamBed is not a party to this agreement and only facilitates the service.

Delivery by freight carrier (family beds, extension beds and headboards)

Beds and headboards are delivered by a freight carrier, who will contact you before delivery to make sure you are available to receive your order. Delivery is flexible and arranged with the freight carrier for a date of your choice within a specified time window. The bed is delivered to the kerbside, so you are responsible for carrying it inside.

Heavy parcel deliveries (mattress toppers)

Our mattress toppers can only be delivered to a home address, as they are too large and heavy for parcel shops.

Smaller parcel deliveries

Smaller packages are sent as standard parcels directly to your address. "Smaller packages" include sheets, bed skirts, bed legs, bed bridges, nursing lights, mattress protectors and similar products.

Shipping cost

Shipping costs DKK 50 for orders below DKK 2,000 after discounts. Shipping is free on orders of DKK 2,000 or more.

Delivery time

Please allow 4 to a maximum of 8 weeks for delivery if your order contains a made-to-order product: a family bed, mattress topper, headboard, sheet, bed skirt, extension bed or cover. We can usually deliver in around 5 weeks. Production currently takes approximately 4 weeks, followed by around one week for shipping, depending on where in the world you live. The 8-week maximum allows for holidays, public holidays and unforeseen delays, helping us give you a positive shopping experience without promising more than we can deliver. At checkout, you will receive a more specific estimate based on your address. We will email you the final delivery date after your purchase as soon as it has been confirmed with our production team.

You will receive Track & Trace notifications when your order is dispatched.

Delivery to countries outside the EU: customs duties and import VAT

If you live in a country outside the EU and order goods from a FAMBED shop, we will send them without Danish VAT (0%). However, your local customs authorities will charge import VAT and, in some cases, customs duties and customs clearance fees before the parcel is released to you. These amounts are not included in the price shown in our online shop and are settled directly between you and the shipping company or the authorities in your country. As the consumer, you are responsible for paying these charges.

If you refuse to accept the parcel or refuse to pay the customs duties and charges, the goods will be returned to us. You will be liable for the delivery, return and customs clearance costs, which will be deducted from your refund.

Indicative rates for selected countries outside the EU

• United Kingdom (UK): 20% import VAT + any applicable customs duty + customs clearance fee charged by the shipping company
• Norway: 25% import VAT (MVA) + any applicable customs duty + customs clearance fee charged by the shipping company
• Switzerland: 8.1% import VAT + customs duty calculated by weight + customs clearance fee charged by the shipping company
• Liechtenstein: same as Switzerland (shared customs and VAT area)
• Iceland: 24% import VAT (VSK) + any applicable customs duty + customs clearance fee charged by the shipping company

The information above provides general guidance on import VAT and customs duties for beds delivered to countries outside the EU. If you are unsure, we recommend checking the rates that apply in your country. You will be contacted regarding the personal information your authorities require to charge customs duties and VAT.

The bed legs are fitted during assembly. If you would prefer a leg height other than the standard height, you can select it after your purchase. See "Selecting the leg height after purchase" below.

Leg heights for the FAMBED® family bed

The family bed legs are available in four heights: 10, 13, 19 and 23 cm. The bed comes with 10 cm legs as standard.

60-night sleep guarantee for the FAMBED® family bed (not the DIY system)

As a company, we choose to offer our FAMBED® 60-night sleep guarantee as an exceptional extended service to customers who buy a family bed, despite not being required under EU law to accept returns, as our beds are made specifically for you, to your measurements and order.

The terms, including the requirement to use the bed for at least 30 days and your responsibility for return shipping, are set out in the section "60-night sleep guarantee for family beds" below.

If only the firmness of the mattresses is unsuitable, individual mattresses can be exchanged instead. See the section "Comfort Match Guarantee: mattress exchanges" below.

Other made-to-order items

The standard right of withdrawal available to you as a customer when shopping online does not apply when you order the following items:

• FAMBED® fitted sheet
• FAMBED® bed skirt
• FAMBED® mattress topper
• FAMBED® box mattress for DIY kit
• FAMBED® headboard
• FAMBED® family bed cover

The right to return these items does not apply because they are made to order in your chosen measurements. This means that you cannot cancel your purchase or return these items once they have entered production. Production only begins once you have confirmed your order in the email we send after your purchase.

If you need to make any changes or wish to cancel your order, please contact us as soon as possible after placing it so that we can make the necessary adjustments before putting the order into production. Regular stock items If your order consists of one or more regular stock items, you have a 14-day right of withdrawal as a consumer when shopping with us. The withdrawal period expires 14 days after the day you receive your item. If you have ordered several different items in a single order and they are delivered separately, the period begins on the day you receive the final item. You cannot exercise your right of withdrawal simply by refusing delivery without also notifying us.

60-night sleep guarantee for the FAMBED® family bed (not the DIY system)

As a company, we choose to offer our FAMBED® 60-night sleep guarantee as an exceptional extended service to customers who buy a family bed, despite not being required under EU law to accept returns, as our beds are made specifically for you, to your measurements and order.

However, we know that buying a new bed is a big and important decision that affects the whole family's sleep. That is why we have chosen to allow returns under certain conditions:

• Try it for at least 30 days. It always takes a little time to adjust to a new bed and sleeping arrangement. We therefore require you to use the bed for at least 30 days and give yourselves a chance to adjust before deciding whether to return it.
• You are responsible for arranging and paying for return shipping. We are happy to refer you to our reliable shipping partner, which offers reasonable return rates, but as the customer, the practical and financial responsibility for returning the product to us rests with you.

How it works

• You have 60 nights from delivery to try the bed.
• If it is not right for you, email us at hello@fambed.com after the first 30 days have passed and before the 60-night deadline expires.
• You arrange and pay for return shipping yourself.
• Once we have received the returned bed, we will refund the full purchase price.

If only the firmness of the mattresses is unsuitable, you do not need to return the entire bed: individual mattresses can be exchanged. See the section "Comfort Match Guarantee: mattress exchanges" below.

Comfort match guarantee for FAMBED® family bed spring mattresses

The family bed's spring mattresses are reversible, with two firmness levels in the same mattress (dual comfort). With our firmness guide and dual comfort mattresses, we match 95% of our customers' preferences on the first try. You can always switch between the two sides of each mattress yourself, free of charge and without tools.

How it works

• If the firmness still is not right, we will exchange one or more mattresses for the other firmness option for a fee of 600 kr. per mattress plus shipping.
• You only exchange the mattresses that are not right for you, even if this only applies to one adult's mattress.
• Email us at hello@fambed.com, and we will arrange the exchange.

The exchange is an alternative to a full return: you keep the bed and only adjust the firmness. If you would prefer to return the entire bed, the terms in the section "60-night sleep guarantee for family beds" above apply.

5-year warranty on the FAMBED® family bed's wooden frame

The family bed's frame is made from solid FSC-certified wood. It cannot be worn out, which is why we provide a 5-year warranty on the wooden frame.

• The warranty only covers the family bed's wooden frame. Mattresses, mattress topper, cover, bed legs and other accessories are not covered by the warranty.
• To make a claim under the warranty, email us at hello@fambed.com with a description and, if possible, a couple of photos.

The warranty does not limit your rights under the Danish Sale of Goods Act. The 24-month right of complaint, which applies to your entire purchase, is described in the section "Right of complaint" above.
